30-day Warranty on Workmanship Our limited labour warranty in regard to correcting defects in our workmanship is 30 days. We Do Not Do Callouts on Defective Repairs. If a part fails owing to a manufacturer’s defect, however, our labour is covered for just 30 days. There is no warranty against additional or more extensive repairs, against any problems that may occur, or against incidental damages. Parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty, which is usually 30-90 days dependent on the manufacturer. No guarantee on any electronic parts e.g., transformers, daylight cells, geyser thermostats, stove thermostats, surge arrestors, or any damage caused by nature i.e. lightning damage and/or power surges. As well as drain, basin, shower, and toilet blockages. The Company takes absolutely no responsibility for any damages caused by faulty factory parts. Kwikot will be responsible for the geyser parts, element, thermostat, safety valve, vacuum breakers, and pressure valves for one year.

Terms: To manage volatile global fuel prices, Savvy Holdings Group is transitioning from a flat-rate call-out fee to a combined travel-cost model. New Billing Structure Every service visit will now be invoiced based on two components: Standard Call-Out Fee: A base charge for the service request. Running Travel Charge: A per-kilometre (km) rate calculated from the nearest operational base to the site and back. Calculations: Distances are determined using standard mapping systems to ensure fair and transparent pricing. This is a temporary measure. We will revert to our standard fee structure once fuel markets stabilize. Acceptance of any quote or service booking constitutes agreement to these adjusted terms. This adjustment allows us to maintain high service standards and operational sustainability despite rising transport overheads. Please note terms are strictly COD, EFT is accepted provided that proof of payment is received before the electrician and/or plumber leaves the site via SMS confirmation or email. Our Plumber/Electrician will not leave the premises until full payment/POP has been made/received. If payment is delayed/withheld there will be a standing time charge of R650 per hour. All Clients paying through EFT Facilities need to provide an address where the job was done or a job number. All material installed stays the property of the Company until such time that the account is settled in full. In the event that the account is not settled as per our COD terms, all material will be removed, and the Client will be held responsible for the labour to install and to remove, as well as all legal costs. Kindly note all general maintenance payments are to be paid immediately after the work is done. Please note that a 2.5% interest will be charged on outstanding invoices older than 30 days for account customers. All clients who fail to pay will be put on the Accountability Systems as Default Payer which is linked to the Credit Bureau.

Refund Policy:
SAVVY CIVILS & PLUMBING

REFUND, CANCELLATION & CALL-OUT POLICY

This policy applies to plumbing, maintenance, leak detection, emergency call-outs, repairs, installations, construction-related services and other work undertaken by Savvy Civils & Plumbing.

1. Call-Out Charges

Once a technician has been dispatched to a client’s property, the applicable call-out/travel charge becomes payable and is non-refundable, even if:

* The client cancels while the technician is travelling to site.

* The client is not available or access cannot be obtained.

* The client decides not to proceed with the repair after the technician arrives.

* The fault cannot be reproduced or is no longer present when the technician arrives.

* The client appoints another contractor after our technician has been dispatched.

The call-out charge covers the costs associated with dispatching personnel and vehicles, travelling to site and making the technician available for the appointment.

2. Cancellation Before Dispatch

Where a client cancels before a technician has been dispatched, any refund will be considered subject to costs already reasonably incurred by Savvy Civils & Plumbing.

Where materials have already been purchased specifically for the client’s job, the provisions relating to materials and supplier charges below will apply.

3. Materials Returned to Suppliers

Where a client cancels or changes an approved job after materials have been ordered or purchased, any refund is subject to the supplier accepting the goods back.

Where the supplier charges a handling/restocking fee, this amount will be deducted from the client’s refund.

Special-order, custom-made, cut-to-size, fabricated or non-returnable materials cannot be refunded where the supplier does not accept their return.

Any reasonable collection, delivery, courier, or transport charges associated with returning materials may also be deducted.

4. Work Already Completed

Labour, call-out charges, travelling, fault finding, leak detection, inspections and other services already performed cannot ordinarily be refunded simply because the client later decides not to proceed with further work.

Where there is a legitimate complaint regarding workmanship, Savvy Civils & Plumbing must first be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the work and, where appropriate, rectify the workmanship.

5. Deposits and Advance Payments

Deposits and advance payments are allocated toward costs associated with the client’s project, including procurement of materials, labour allocation, scheduling, transport and other reasonable project expenses.

Where a project is cancelled, Savvy Civils & Plumbing will calculate the amount due after taking into account work performed, materials ordered or purchased, supplier cancellation/restocking charges, transport and other reasonable costs already incurred.

Any balance legitimately due to the client will then be processed as a refund.

6. Incorrectly Ordered Materials

Where Savvy Civils & Plumbing supplied or ordered an incorrect item due to an error on our part, the matter will be corrected at our cost, subject to the circumstances of the particular job.

Where materials were ordered according to the client’s specifications, selections, measurements or instructions and the client subsequently changes their mind, applicable supplier return, restocking and transport charges will be for the client’s account.

7. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed back to the client after:

1. Materials have been successfully returned and credited by the supplier, where applicable.

2. All outstanding labour, call-out, transport and other applicable charges have been calculated.

3. The supplier’s restocking/handling charges have been confirmed; and

4. The client’s banking/payment information has been verified where required.

Refund processing time may therefore depend on the relevant supplier’s credit and return process.

8. Emergency and After-Hours Call-Outs

Emergency, weekend, public holiday, and after-hours bookings reserve technician availability specifically for the client.

Once the technician has been dispatched, the applicable call-out and/or minimum attendance charge will remain payable if the client subsequently cancels the appointment.

9. Client-Supplied Materials

Savvy Civils & Plumbing does not provide refunds for materials supplied directly by the client.

We cannot accept responsibility for supplier defects, incorrect products or warranty issues relating to client-supplied materials, except where damage is directly attributable to our workmanship.

10. Consumer Protection

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove or restrict any rights that a consumer may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable South African law.

Where legislation provides the client with a right to cancellation, refund, repair or replacement, the applicable legislation will take precedence over this policy.

ACCEPTANCE

By accepting a quotation, approving work, paying a deposit, or requesting Savvy Civils & Plumbing to dispatch a technician, the client acknowledges the applicable terms of this Refund, Cancellation & Call-Out Policy.
